Bill's Bio
Bill Profita is a native of Chicago, Illinois, who has made Baton Rouge his home since 1973. He was educated at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois and at LSU where he studied speech communications with an emphasis on broadcasting. In addition to working as an on-air personality, Profita went into the advertising and public relations business, and co-founded a successful advertising agency, which has served a variety of clients in the gulf south since 1978. Bill was recently named "Best Radio Host" by The South Baton Rouge Journal. He is married to the former Karen Jensen, who is also a broadcaster, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Radiothon events for Children's Miracle Network. When he's not working, he enjoys gourmet cooking, wine collecting, travel and golf.
