The New Orleans Pelicans announced that Zion Williamson suffered a left hamstring strain in a Play-In Tournament loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday night.

Williamson limped off the court with about three minutes left in the fourth quarter. An MRI taken Wednesday morning confirmed the injury.

The Pelicans say the forward will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Williamson will be unavailable for the Pelicans' Play-In Tournament finale against the Sacramento Kings at the Smoothie King Center Friday night (8:30 p.m. tip, News Talk 99.5 WRNO, TNT).

The winner will earn the #8 seed in the Western Conference and face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs starting Sunday night.
