The Saints are wrapping up their bye week.
New Orleans has had an up-and-down first half of the season, but sits atop the NFC South at 5-5.
The Saints, coming off a 27-19 loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week, return to action on the road against the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday. Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is at noon.
The defense ranks ninth in the NFL with 19.8 points per game allowed.
Carl Granderson has racked up a team-high five-and-a-half sacks so far, while Paulson Adebo has totaled four interceptions to lead the unit.
In other news, the team signed defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and running back Adam Prentice to the practice squad on Thursday.
