Several new state laws are now in effect in Louisiana as of the start of 2023.

Act 440 requires age verification in order for a user to look at porn sites online.

Act 458 requires every single-family home or duplex sold or leased after January 1 to have a working carbon monoxide detector.

Act 513 requires victims of sexual assault to be provided with details about emergency contraception.

Act 701 says people who haven't paid their income taxes may have their driver's licenses suspended or not renewed.
