Baton Rouge Police To Receive 3% Pay Raise

Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department are getting a raise.

East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced Wednesday that the Metro Council approved another 3% raise for BRPD.

Broome said the increase will initially be paid for through allocation from the state and then through changes within the department.

She added that officers with the Baton Rouge City Constable's Office and Baton Rouge Metro Airport will also receive a 6% pay increase.
