Tropical System Likely For Gulf, Impacts To Louisiana Unknown For Now

The National Hurricane Center expects a tropical depression, at minimum, to soon form out of a broad area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea.

The system is expected to drift into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday.

Impacts to Louisiana remain unknown at this time, though a Gulf system could bring higher rain chances by mid-week.

If it were to reach tropical storm strength, the system would be named Zeta.
