An East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member has changed her stance on the creation of the city of St. George.
Jill Dyason passed on the first petition, but says she signed the latest one in an effort to move forward.
The petition seeks to create the new city in the southeastern corner of the parish.
Dyason is the longest serving member of the School Board and represents much of the area that would become St. George if the petition succeeds.
