A little over two years after the crime took place, a man is facing charges for eating an LSU female student's pet fish.

Police finally arrested 21-year-old Maxwell Taffin yesterday for cruelty to animals and improper telephone communications.

Investigators say Taffin admitted to eating the woman's fish when he was allowed to retrieve something from her Blake Hall dorm room after the 2016 LSU-Ole Miss football game.

She later received a photo from Taffin of feces in a toilet with the text message "found your fish."
