There's more information for Baton Rouge residents to chew on now that the mayor has unveiled more of the details related to a tax proposition for the Better Transportation and Road Plan.

Sharon Weston Broome says $540 million in required funding will come mostly from a five-mill property tax and half-cent sales tax. Owners of a $200,000 home would see their property taxes increase about $62 a year.

The plan includes a laundry list of improvements that includes new streets, changes to relieve traffic congestion and bike paths.
