Folks in Louisiana are being warned of a food recall after a dead bat was found inside some packaged salad at Walmart.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Saturday that the bat was in a bag of Fresh Express Organic Marketside Spring Mix distributed through Walmart stores in the South including Louisiana locations.
Besides Louisiana, the recall affects Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
The Fresh Express Organic Spring Mix that should be returned to Walmart is in a five-ounce, clear container with a "Best By" date of April 14th, 2017.
